Privacy note
What we store when you use the site and its community features, and why.
- Reading the site needs no account and sets no tracking cookies. There are no ads. Trailers load from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play. Fonts are self-hosted.
- Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records aggregate visit data such as pages viewed, referrers and country, and does not identify individual visitors.
- Hosting: the site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
- Your email is used only to send sign-in links (via Supabase Auth) and is never shown publicly or shared. If you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive your email from that provider.
- Public: your display name, avatar initial, reviews, comments, helpful-vote counts, points and badges.
- Private: your email, the posts you’ve reported and which reviews you voted on. Moderators can see reports.
- On your device: a sign-in session is kept in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
- Moderation: posts pass through an automatic word filter. If AI moderation is switched on, the text of new posts (not your email) is sent to a moderation model to check for abuse or spam.
- Deleting your data: you can delete any post yourself, or all of them at once from your account. To delete the account itself, open an issue on the site’s GitHub repository (without posting your email) and we’ll remove it.
- Where it lives: community data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database protected by row-level security.
